Co-hoseted by TSJS and Center for Japanese Studies (National Taichung University of Science and Technology), the Third Japan Research Youth Forum was held on June 9th, 2017 in Taichung. In the Opening Remarks, President of National Taichung University of Science and Technology, Dr. Hsieh Chun-Hung and Presiend of TSJS, Lin Wen-Cheng both encourages students to participate Activities such as Youth Forum so that they can have more academic experiences. Finally, Dr. Fan Shi-Ping as the director of board members of TSJS gave a keynote speech on the topic about "Strategic Competition between Taiwan, Japan and China: The Development and Significance of Three Bilateral Relations."

On May 25, the National Policy Research Institute held a forum on "Trump-Xi Summit and the Korean Peninsula Crisis" at the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation. President of TSJS, Lin Wen-cheng (Senior Advisor of National Research Institute) and Secretary General Kuo Yujen (Executive Director of National Research Institute) attended the Forum. The forum is arranged into two sessions to discuss the relationship in Trump-Xi's summit and the Sino-US relations, and how countries response on the Korean Peninsula crisis. 

The 4th Japan-Japan Strategic Dialogue was held by Institute of International Affairs in at the Tokyo, Japan. Starting from May 18 to 19 ,2017. Continuing the "two-track dialogue"(Track II Dialogue) way, Taiwan-Japan think tank aims to promote discussion and cooperation on national security, diplomatic and strategic issues.

Under TSJS and Institute of Education in National Sun Yat-sen University's arrangement, Dr.Lin Yu-Hui as a lifetime member of TSJS attended the "Japan's High School Edcuation Reform-2017 International Edcuation Forum" on 2,3 May in National Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Lin Yu-Hui exchanges ideas with Dr. Lin, chairman of the Secretary-General, Dr. Kuo, and also take this opportunity to visit the CJS office. 

 

 

On 23rd March, 2017, President Lin and Dr. Kuo attended the forum "Trump's Policy Influence On Asia-Pacific " held by National Policy Foundation in Taipei. The forum is arranged in 2 panel which discussed about how Trump's policy influences on economics, security in Asia-Pacific.
