Dr. Wen-Cheng Lin, the Director of Center for Japanese Studies (CJS), NSYSU, and Dr. Yujen Kuo, the Chief Executor of CJS, were invited to present in "2014 Asia Pacific Security Forum: The Dynamic Situation in East Asia and the Asia-Pacific Security" on Aug. 28-29, 2014 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The two-day conference was co-hosted by Institute for National Policy Research (Taiwan), the Pacific Forum CSIS (USA), Institute for Strategic and Development Studies (the Philippines), and Asia Centre (France). Dr. Wen-Cheng Lin shared his perspectives on the US-China relations and its impact on East Asia, and Dr. Yujen Kuo elaborated the Japanese new interpretation of the right of collective self-defense and its implication on the future US-Japan Alliance.
