The Center for Japanese Studies invited the southern Taiwan-based Japan studies scholars to have a round table discussion on Nov. 18, 2014, about the development of Taiwan's Japan studies and of research and education of Japan studies in southern Taiwan. The round table discussion aimed to connect the Japan studies scholars in southern Taiwan and forge the research and education community in order to nurish the future Japan studies in southern Taiwan. The scholars invited in the discussion this time were Professor Chun-Chih Yang of National University of Kaohsiung, Professor Ming-Shan Wu of I-Shou University, Professor Wen-Bin Lin of Chia Nan University of Pharmacy & Science, Professor Yung-Hsing Guo of National University of Kaohsiung, and Professor Yujen Kuo of Naitonal Sun Yat-sen University.
