Director of the Center for Japanese Studies(CJS)- Dr. Lin Wen Cheng continued his second term as the director of CJS and was elected as director of Taiwanese Society for Contemporary Japan Studies in July 2015. As the first director and the founder of CJS Dr. Lin Wen Cheng successfully laid a solid foundation for Japan studies alone with CEO-Dr. Kuo Yujen, Researcher Dr. Xu Jiahao, Dr. Huang Jiahui and all the doctoral students of Asia-Pacific Institute and Institute of Political Science. Director Lin encouraged the Center for Japanese Studies to be: 1. The bridge for connecting Taiwan's Japan studies community and its international counterparts. 2. The platform for strategic dialogue between Taiwan and Japan. 3. The cradle for Taiwan's new generation of Japan Studies. Director Lin appreciated the hard works of CJS members and encouraged them to continue to expand the depth and scope Japan studies.
