Dr. Matsuda Hiroko, Tokyo University visited the TSJS office and Center for Japan Studeis in National Sun Yat-sen University on June 6. Dr. Kuo Yujen as the delegate of TSJS welcomed Dr. Matsuda. Dr. Matsuda recieved a hand bag which has TSJS Logo printed as well as the Japan and Asia-Pacific Research Quarterly. It is our hope that Dr. Matsuda can help promote the exchange of interaction and related academic researches between Taiwan and Japan. Dr. Matsuda lectures on the decision-making characteristics of the Japanese policy of the Shinzo Abe: The strategy and technology of the foreign and security policy. The Keynote speech has attracted many students from the Asia-Pacific Studies Institute as well as the department of Social Sciences to attend the lectures. Dr. Matsuda started the lecture from the background of the second Abe Cabinet in 2012, dating back the time and events as the axis. From social basis perspective, personnel structure and other aspects, he analyzes Abe government foreign and security decision-making model and strategy. In the session, Dr. Matsuda summed up the Abe government in diplomacy / security decision-making several characteristics, including: set strategic goals; lock the front, see the good harvest; adhere to the principle of bold and flexible.
