1、參加本次日本交流活動行程之中,對於日本的印象最深刻的事情:

Honestly, before visiting Japan I had already read tons of articles about the recovering process of Iwate yet I have always doubted the report of the mass media. Through this program I have developed strong insights of the whole recovery plan and was deeply impressed by the capability of the Japanese government to rebuild the distressed area by efficiently reinstalling the infrastructure and the proper arrangement of the waste.

2、本次日本交流活動的心得:

The moment when all the participants paid the deepest condolences to the dead in the National Tokyo Museum was the most important part of this visit. In calmness, I could still feel the incurable pain of this country.

Of course visiting the tsunami-stricken area was also the most memorable experiences that I have ever had. The collapsed buildings that once housed many families , thousand tons of debris which were once bridges that people went through everyday in their lives, countless gravestones that berries thousands of victims, all of these made me realize the vulnerability of life and to live everyday as the last day of my life.

“Don't give up. We'll all be rooting for you.”

Although we (10 Taiwanese) have written about 50 cards to Iwate children, we still thought that weren't enough. We will keep writing for them. Because we know that we are not that big or powerful to help them. And that is probably the only way we can do. So, a few more words’ cards or our simple hug, all is trying to tell them: You are not alone. And I will always stay by your side.
