20130122-26 The National Sun Yat-sen University’s President Visits Japan
In order to promote Taiwan-Japan academic exchanges and better relations between the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) and Japanese academic and business communities, the Interchange of Japan arranged for NSYSU President Yang Hung-Duen to go to Japan from January 22 to 26, 2013 for an official visit.
Also in attendance were NSYSU’s College of Social Sciences and the Center for Japanese Studies’ (CJS) Director, Dr. Lin Wen-cheng; Sociology Department Professor and CJS Chief Executive, Dr. Cheng Li-Hsuan; and NSYSU’s Institute of China and Asia-Pacific Studies (ICAPS) Assistant Professor and CJS , Dr. Kuo Yujen.
The purposes of the visit were to demonstrate CJS’s achievements over the past three years in Japanese research; to visit several of Japan’s leading research institutes and think tanks; and to explore possibilities for future cooperation.
The Interchange of Japan deserves a special thank you for assisting the delegation in developing deep relationships with all those they visited. From the success of this visit, the NSYSU President the Dean of the College of Social Sciences look forward to and will welcome possibilities for future development of relations.
