20130327 I-Shou University Department of Mass Communication’s Professor Ming-Shan Wu Holds Japanese Research Lecture
On March 27, 2013, the National Sun Yat-sen University's (NSYSU) Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) was delighted to welcome I-Shou University Department of Mass Communication's Professor Ming-Shan Wu for a two-hour lecture. The topic of the lecture was “The issue and challenge for Abe's new political power.” Dr. Wu's speech probed Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's leadership from the perspectives of political stability, electoral support, and the opposition party. It also discussed in detail Japan's peace constitution and the effects and possibilities of future legislation.
Dr. Wu's use of several perspectives to probe Prime Minister Abe's political power and leadership helped students to understand more clearly and deeply Japan's current state of political affairs and engaged students to discuss these issues in a critical manner.
